Adeline (Soprano / Alto)

Adeline's passion for singing and music is a gift from God that has only grown over the years. Inspired by her cousins who are classically-trained pianists and professed lovers of classical music, she started learning to play the piano at age 11 and obtained an ABRSM Grade 8 certification in pianoforte at age 19.

From her beginnings in worship and classical music to five solid years of Choral and A Cappella exposure with the Singapore Youth Choir (SYC), she has travelled different states and continents for competition tours, music festivals and evangelistic concerts. Of those travels, the quaint, old town feel of Prague, the artistic architecture and culture of Budapest in Hungary, the works of art in religious temples and exotic cuisine of Spain, and the autumn colours of New England in North America, captivated and triggered the wanderlust in her.

She then took a step out of the boat to challenge herself in the area of acting, dancing and staging through Easter and Christmas musicals and sought to develop a contemporary voice and presence. In June 2008, she had her first showcase of original songs with the newly minted Christian Songwriters & Music Singapore (CSMusic), working with a small band of 2 guitarists and a pianist.

Her music influences include Israel Houghton, Alvin Slaughter, John Mayer, Corrinne May and Rachael Lampa. When she's not singing, she tries to work at song writing and improve on her contemporary piano skills.
