Welcome to upbeat.sg.
We are a contemporary a cappella group from Singapore comprising singers
from a range of musical backgrounds.
Always seeking new ways and opportunities to experience and share the joy of
good a cappella music, we perform a variety of contemporary jazz and popular
music for various events and occasions. These include musical showcases, charity
events, weddings, Christmas, Valentine's day and National Day.
In 2004, UpBeat became the Open Category Champion of the Singapore A Cappella
Championship and was featured in A CappellaFest ’04 organised by The A Cappella
Society. That year, UpBeat also won the first prize in the Eunos Community Club
Caroling Competition. In 2005 and 2007, we put up our own concerts of
close-harmony a cappella music.
Besides performing, UpBeat has also been in masterclasses with international
ensembles like Russian vocal group A’cappella ExpreSSS as well as the Swingle
Singers.
